Your nervous system forms first and directs the development of every other system, and it is housed in the skull and spine. Techniques for infants are very gentle and tolerated well. Dr. Meyer's own children were adjusted at one day old, and so is his first granddaughter.
Dr. Meyer has practised in Menomonie for more than 32 years and is a well known local business person, volunteer and community member. He studied human biology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and Milwaukee, then graduated on the Dean's List from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis.
Most of his patients know he has worked two careers. Alongside the practice he was a firefighter-paramedic for Eau Claire Fire and Rescue, retiring as an Engineer and Reserve paramedic, and he served as a paid-on-call firefighter for Menomonie Fire and Rescue.
That drive to serve shows up across town: past President of the Rotary Club of Menomonie, a member of the Menomonie Community Health Foundation, a United Way Director, a Junior Achievement of Wisconsin speaker and a grade school mentor. He also taught general anatomy and physiology at the Northwest Wisconsin School for Oriental Body Therapy.
The office sits in the YMCA building, formerly Bodyworks Athletic Club, and he is a member of the club himself. He is a natural teacher, and is always willing to explain a treatment or suggest an exercise that helps you feel your best.

“We have been going to Dr. Chris from the time he started his practice. We called on a Saturday morning for my husband's back pain and he took him in right away and relieved the pain. We were impressed with his kind, caring manner. He truly cares about you as a person as well as your health.”
“Dr Chris Meyer has been my chiropractor for over 10 years. Before that I had to switch about every 2 years to a different chiropractor. I suffer with fibromyalgia and arthritis in my neck and low back. If the usual doesn't work he uses a different approach. I am a difficult patient to treat. Dr Chris doesn't give up on me!”
“Dr Chris has been my chiropractor for a work comp injury since 1993. We have since moved over an hour away, but I continue to see Dr. Chris. He is the only chiropractor that keeps me going. It is always an enjoyable visit when I see him.”
“I've been seeing Dr. Chris for many years since I first injured my back. The initial set of treatments knocked me right into shape and eliminated the pain. I've since gone back for occasional treatments as needed. It's always a pleasant and enjoyable experience.”
“Casual yet professional atmosphere. Dr. Chris was very knowledgeable, identified my problem, and successfully provided the treatment I needed. I highly recommend him!”
No. Many people avoid chiropractors because of horror stories about high pressure sales for repeated treatments and expensive extras. That is never a concern here. Some problems suit a plan, some get treated on flare ups, and some need a single treatment.
New patient exams are free, and general visits are $45 if paid at the time of service.
For most patients a significant decrease in symptoms happens right away or very soon after the adjustment. Some injuries do not respond immediately, and Dr. Meyer will tell you what follow-up care at home is needed.
